The Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia and the State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have completed their "Thank You Tour" of Zone A.
Governor Alia who has been in power for one year now embarked on a tour of Benue State thanking the people for voting him and his party, the APC into power.
The exercise started in Benue Northeast (Zone A) on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 with Katsina-ala, Ukum and Logo federal constituency and continued with Kwande federal constituency where Governor Alia thanked the people for trusting him with the mandate to lead them.
The exercise continued on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 with Jechira federal constituency where Governor Alia addressed topical issues bothering on security of lives and property of Benue people and how he has been working to advance the economy and infrastructure of the state.
In all the constituencies visited so far, Governor Alia reminded traditional rulers of the need for them to champion the cause of restoring the values and customs of Benue people.
He added that any traditional ruler or community leader who is hiding miscreants in their houses and also aiding and abating civil unrest in their communities will have to face the consequences of such acts.
Governor Alia who earmarked several roads for construction across the constituencies, also promised to offer employment to Benue youth and provide a conducive business environment for investors.
Hundreds of thousands of people from across the constituencies decamped from PDP and other political parties to the APC, stating their resolve to work with Governor Alia who has already shown that development and growth of Benue State were all that his administration was working for.
The tour continues today in zone B with a visit first to Buruku and later to Gboko/Tarkar federal constituencies.
