NYSC to Prosecute Authors of Fake Press Release Amid Portal Glitch Incident

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced plans to prosecute those responsible for a fake press release circulating about a technical glitch that occurred on its registration portal on Saturday, June 8.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, explained that the registration portal for Batch B prospective corps members was closed after reaching the maximum number of registrations needed for the upcoming batch.

The NYSC apologized to those who were unable to register before the portal's closure, promising that the portal would reopen for Batch B Stream II at a later date, which would be announced in due course.

Additionally, the NYSC refuted a fake press release that falsely claimed the registration deadline had been extended.
